The laboratory has the capability to manufacture and analyse a range of MMO approved bacteriophage tracers, used in source tracking of environmental waters. These tracers were approved by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) for marine deployments in 2015, to quantify time of travel and dilution in catchment and near-shore systems.
